Our customer in Lancashire, a large global alcoholic drinks manufacturer, had a requirement to re-locate existing ion exchange water treatment plant. After a free site survey undertaken by Hydra-Clear Process Water Ltd we proposed installing a new Reverse Osmosis plant.
Upon calculations of all costs, Hydra-Clear Process Water Ltd and our customer worked together to provide a solution to save running costs. Moving away from de-ionization and associated regeneration chemicals, Hydra-Clear installed a state of the art, high effluent recovery Reverse Osmosis plant.
Calculating the current operating costs, and running it through our bespoke calculation design software, Hydra-Clear Process Water was able to model the running costs of both systems. The suitable application for the customers site operating limits made Reverse Osmosis the clear choice.
Safer Operating Systems and Lower Operating Costs
Lowering running costs by removing all hazardous chemicals, lowering waste effluent water and lowering effluent treatment. The pay back was less than 4 years, and this did not take into consideration the re-location costs of the old de-ionisation plant!
Our customer has now reduced the handling and discharge of hazardous chemicals, leaving their staff and the wider environment at a lower risk – all while reducing costs and improving quality of treated water.
“Firstly many thanks for the competent and timely installation of the new RO plant. It looks great! Feedback from our QA is that the plant is performing well and the water being produced is of good quality.” – Lee, Director of Production UK
